01Who we are
omar-thing.site ("Omar-Thing", "we", "us") is an independent website that provides free tools for viewing publicly available TikTok information. This policy covers omar-thing.site and the subdomains its tools use to process requests (such as for.omar-thing.site and api.omar-thing.site).
Our paid developer API at dev.omar-thing.site has its own API Privacy Policy, which applies to API accounts and payments.
Omar-Thing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or ByteDance Ltd.
02Information we collect
Information you enter
- Search inputs: TikTok usernames, user IDs, and profile, video, or live links you enter into a tool.
- Feedback: the content of any message you send through a feedback form. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in feedback.
- API keys: if you enter an API key into a tool, it is sent with your requests so we can verify it and apply usage limits.
Information collected automatically
- Technical logs: when your browser sends a request to our servers, we receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the time of the request, and the address requested. Because some tools send the search term as part of the address, logs can include what you searched for.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics and a self-hosted instance of Umami to understand how the site is used, such as pages visited, referring sites, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Session recordings: on some tool pages, Umami records a sample of visits, capturing interactions such as page changes, clicks, and scrolling, with privacy masking enabled. We use recordings only to find bugs and improve usability.
- Security checks: some tools use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that a request comes from a person and not an automated bot.
- Advertising data: our advertising partners may collect information through cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 4.
Information stored only on your device
Some features save settings in your browser's local storage, such as your theme, text size, recent searches, and API keys you choose to save. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us, except that a saved API key is included in requests you make to our API. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Public TikTok information
All data shown comes from publicly available sources. Our tools display information that is already public on TikTok, such as profile details, statistics, and public media, and we do not use it to build profiles of individuals. Some images and videos are loaded from TikTok itself while you view them, so TikTok may receive your IP address at that moment.
03How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide the tools and return the results you request;
- protect the site against abuse, fraud, and automated misuse, including applying rate limits;
- keep the site working, diagnose errors, and improve performance and usability;
- understand overall usage of the site;
- show advertising that helps keep the tools free; and
- read and respond to feedback.
Where the law requires a legal basis, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site, and on your consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising.

The site also links to external services, such as Telegram and Buy Me a Coffee. When you follow those links, that service's own privacy policy applies.
06How long we keep information
- Search inputs: used to complete your request and not stored afterward, except as part of the technical logs below.
- Technical logs: kept for a short period to keep the service secure and reliable, then deleted automatically.
- Feedback messages: kept only as long as needed to review and act on them.
- Analytics and session recordings: kept in aggregated or limited form for as long as they remain useful for improving the site.
- Information on your device: kept until you clear it from your browser.
08Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited data retention, and protection against abuse. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09Your choices and rights
You can use the site without providing personal information in most tools. You can manage cookies through the consent banner and your browser, and you can clear locally saved data at any time.
We do not store the TikTok information shown in our tools. It is publicly available on TikTok, and we retrieve it from TikTok each time you make a request. To view, change, hide, or delete information on a TikTok account, use TikTok's account settings or contact TikTok directly, as described in TikTok's Privacy Policy.
Because we do not operate user accounts and keep only short-lived technical logs, we generally do not hold personal information that we can link to you. If you have a question about information we may process, contact us using the details in section 13.
10Children
The site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the site only with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11International users
Our servers and service providers may process information in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may be different. By using the site, you understand that your information may be processed in those countries, subject to the protections described in this policy.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we may also give notice on the site.
